Background: Agency/Client work, PR

Ask: To compose an informational press release for LIVELab McMaster that focuses on boosting brand awareness and informing readers of what type of services they offer.

 

Challenges: The biggest challenge faced conducting this press release was attempting to not mention the pandemic and how it was affecting the LIVELab.

 

Strategy: Focus on promoting the LIVELab as a whole rather than focusing on a certain event. Briefly mentioning the need for participants for future events because of the gap of data lost due to the pandemic instead of a paragraph expressing the urgency for participants.

 

Solutions: Mentioning past events and having informational quotes from participants to entice readers to realize what amazing events will be cancelled if there are not enough participants for recruitment.  

 

Contributions: Our team conducted the press release as a whole, but one role I had was finding quotes from past participants and lab directors.
